1. After receiving the review, the responsible editor forwards it to the corresponding author without disclosing the reviewers’ identities, requesting responses to the comments, appropriate revisions to the manuscript, and resubmission via the electronic platform.
2. The author(s) may, without providing any explanation, refuse to respond to the reviewers’ comments, make revisions to the manuscript, or resubmit it to the editorial office of the journal “Food Sciences».
3. After revising the manuscript in accordance with the reviewers’ comments, the author submits a revised version of the manuscript to the editorial office via the electronic platform.
4. After all comments have been addressed, revisions made, and the manuscript resubmitted to the editorial office via the electronic platform, the responsible editor forwards the manuscript to the reviewer for repeat peer review.
5. A manuscript that has received a positive reviewer’s conclusion is recommended for publication in accordance with the order in which manuscripts are accepted for publication. Manuscripts approved by the editorial board are transferred to the responsible editor for compilation of the journal issue.
6. A manuscript is rejected for publication in the journal in the case of negative reviews, and the author is notified via the electronic platform. The responsible editor informs the corresponding author of the rejection and provides the reviewer’s conclusion without disclosing the reviewer’s identity.
7. Manuscripts rejected by the editorial board following peer review are not used by the editorial board for its own purposes.
8. Reviews of manuscripts are stored in electronic format on the journal’s electronic platform.
9. The review period shall not exceed one month from the date the materials are submitted to the reviewers.
